Privacy Policy

The controller of personal data on work-as.com ("work-as", "we", "us") is the site's operator, a private individual who runs it as a non-commercial project, reachable at workas.profesions@gmail.com. For any privacy question or request, email workas.profesions@gmail.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer and are not required to.

• Analytics — only if you accept. Google Analytics 4 records the pages you view, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and a random identifier stored in the _ga cookies. We look at it only in aggregate, to see which guides help people. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules on cookies). You can withdraw it at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
• Delivering the site. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and technical request data (time, page, browser) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we use your address and message only to handle and answer it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Choices stored in your browser. Saved jobs, your compare list, game records, theme and your cookie choice stay in your browser's local storage. They never reach us and are needed only for the features you use.

You don't have to give us any personal data to read work-as. We don't make automated decisions or profiles about you.

• Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) — analytics, only after consent, under Google's data processing terms.
• Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) — hosting, content delivery and security, under Cloudflare's data processing addendum.

Both act as our processors. We don't sell personal data or share it with anyone else, and we don't run ads or ad trackers.

Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States. Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission found to provide adequate protection (Art. 45 GDPR); their data processing terms also include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

• Analytics: user-level data is deleted automatically after the retention period set in Google Analytics — at most 14 months; aggregated reports contain no personal data.
• Emails: as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted — at the latest 2 years after the last message.
• Hosting logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short time for security, as described in its privacy policy.
• Your cookie choice: 6 months in your browser; then we ask again. Other data in your browser stays until you clear it.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy (Art. 15),
• have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17),
• restrict its processing (Art. 18) and receive it in a portable format (Art. 20),
• object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21),
• withdraw your consent to analytics at any time, without affecting processing before the withdrawal (Art. 7(3)),
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the EU country where you live or work, or with ours: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic, https://uoou.gov.cz.

Email workas.profesions@gmail.com. We answer within one month; for complex requests we may extend this by up to two more months and will tell you why. We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a rejection of analytics cookies. If you live in a US state with a privacy law, you can use the same channel; we don't sell or share personal information.

work-as is meant for people choosing or changing a career. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
